Multiple choice lets students pick the right answer. Short answer asks them to remember it, by typing their response or saying it out loud.
Head to Create and choose Short answer from the game types.
Give it a topic and a grade level, add any details you want covered, and let Arcade build it.
Open the edit panel to fine-tune the questions, the accepted answers, and the settings.
One question at a time, with an image or an audio clip when it helps
Instant feedback on every answer, plus a short explanation of why it is right
Auto-advance to the next question, so the pace stays brisk
A mic button for speaking an answer instead of typing it
Exact spelling required. Leave it off and small misspellings still count as correct. Turn it on when the spelling is the whole point, like a vocabulary or spelling bee game.
Audio input. Turn it on and players can dictate their answer with a microphone. Lovely for younger students and for language practice.
Every question can hold several accepted answers, so "the check" and "the bill" can both count. Numbers are always matched exactly, so 56 never passes for 57. Games export to PDF, and results download from the leaderboard as a CSV that includes the answers players spoke out loud.
