Faulty equation display with Latex interpreter

I have found equations do not by default include latex quations, and the result looks terrible on screen. I explicitly put in latex commands and the result looked excellent, but this should be selectable or default as it was a lot of tedium putting in $ and \large. Then in another multiple choice, I asked for latex display of grammar expressions, and there was no processing of even the poorly formed Latex. When Latex is implemented, only the default font size which is too small is displayed. The default Font size should be selectable
